At Uranie we adhere to the “ideal factory” approach. An ideal factory is one that, at all levels of the hierarchy and at all stages of production, organises the systematic reduction of production losses throughout the whole industrial process.
To steer our project, we adhere to a “lean” approach and use all the principles of lean manufacturing. New performance indicators and new management rituals, increase in the net operational rate of the production tool (auto-maintenance), definition of the scheduling and launch rules for each product family, handle industrialisation and the organisation of physical flows at the same time. Keeping things simple is difficult. The challenge to be faced is to create availability to work towards the simplification of operational modes.
